The Olde Staunton Inn is a large historic home (c.1910) offering comfortable accommodations at a reasonable price. In Staunton's New Town Historic District, the Inn is conveniently located on the city's free trolley route and within walking distance of Shenandoah Shakespeare's Blackfriars Playhouse, The Woodrow Wilson Birthplace and Presidential Library, Mary Baldwin College and the many fine restaurants and shops downtown.
Staunton, Virginia, which was founded in 1732, was selected by the National Trust for Historic Preservation in 2002 as one of America's Distinctive Dozen Communities. The city has five designated historic districts and a vibrant downtown business district. The city boasts an array of distinctive architecture, much of which dates from the Victorian era. Augusta County, which surrounds Staunton, is known for its scenic rolling farmland, villages, historic sites, beautiful forests, and winding rivers.
The Olde Staunton Inn is within easy travel distance to James Madison University, the University of Virginia and the many other colleges and universities in the area as well as President's homes, caverns, antique shops, Civil War sites, the George Washington National Forest, Shenandoah National Park and the Blue Ridge Parkway. It is the perfect base for exploring the area.
Decorated in an eclectic style the Olde Staunton Inn offers a relaxed, casual atmosphere for your visit to the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. A variety of accommodations are available including rooms with fireplaces and king size beds. All rooms are furnished with a desk and color TV with cable access. The Inn is fully air-conditioned and has a complete smoke/fire alarm and sprinkler system for the safety and comfort of guests.
Guests may enjoy conversation by the living room fireplace, reading in the library, relaxing on the porch, patio or in the hammock, or viewing television in their room. High speed Internet access is available.
A full, hot breakfast is available each morning (8:00 - 9:00 Monday - Friday; until 9:30 on weekends).The breakfast selection includes the following: coffee, hot tea, juices, a variety of fresh fruit, oatmeal, cereal, and yogurt, as well as a rotating selection of fresh baked, home made muffins, scones, breads, quiches, breakfast casseroles, etc.
No smoking is allowed inside the Inn.

The Inn is an historic property accessed by steps, and may not be accessible to some physically challenged persons.
